When I discovered that journalism was what I wanted to pursue as my career, I went full force towards that passion. I love being a voice for people who might not be willing to tell their stories on their own. I am skilled in both print and broadcast journalism and I love to put all of my creativity into both of those things. If you would like to learn more about me, please don't hesitate to contact me. KELOLAND MEDIA GROUP

As an intern and then weekend reporter for KELOLAND News, I learned to shoot, write and edit my own news stories for the evening newscasts

INTERN, KOTA/KEVN, RAPID CITY, SD

I interned at KOTA Territory News and KEVN Black Hills Fox in Rapid City, South Dakota during the summer after my second year at college. I helped produce content and report on stories. I also got the chance to go out with a sales team.

KAOR 91.1 VERMILLION, COYOTE RADIO

I am the host of Lauren's Livewire Tunes on KAOR 91.1 Vermillion, which is the campus radio station at USD. My show is a music show that I pick a new theme for each time. I then play my favorite songs in that theme and talk about them.

Anchor, reporter and producer
Responsible for broadcasting live at 5 p.m. on Channel 21 for KYOT News. Responsible for making a package for each weekly show as Yote Reporter.

PRESIDENT, CROSS MEDIA COUNCIL

Responsible for leading the Cross Media Council, which is an executive member council of the media at USD. We promote student media and push for multi-platform stories.

AMERICAN MODEL UNITED NATIONS

Every November I get the opportunity to travel to Chicago, Illinois to participate in a mock session of the United Nations. I have been involved in both the General Plenary Assembly and the Security Council. In 2018, I was a reporter for the International Press Delegation at the conference.

Reporter, editor and section designer
Responsible for writing articles, interviewing sources and taking pictures. I know how to edit and design as well. As Verve Editor, I assign and edit stories for the arts and entertainment section of The Volante.
